James Chester Sharpless Crowther

Creative Director / Graphic Designer

My name in James Chester Sharpless Crowther, but I generally go by "Jim."  I am the creative director and senior designer at Oráiste Design, a gay owned and operated graphic design studio in Cincinnati, Ohio.  I believe that everyone is on an equal footing with everyone else.  No one business or organization is better than others based on socioeconomic or societal differentiations.  We all should have comparable access to quality design work.

I have an extensive background in design.  I have a BA in American Studies: Material Culture, Interior Design and Residential Architecture with about 10 years of experience and a BS in Graphic Design and about 15 years of experience.  I have been professionally active in a number of design disciplines throughout my career.  My skill set includes graphic design, event design, interior design, visual merchandising and window display design, among others.  

I believe that high octane design should be available to all businesses, groups, organizations and nonprofits.  It is NOT just for the well-funded.  It should be available to every business, organization, group and not-for-profit who wants or needs it.  I offer beautiful, high style design at a modest cost.
